  • Fatty acid ester is a kind of important hydrocarbon source matter. In this paper, the mixture of tetradecanoic acid methyl ester, palmitic acid methyl ester and methyl stearate were chosen as the model reactant. Calcite, dolomite, illite, Camontmorillonite and pyrite were chosen as catalyst. The effects of potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium sulfate and mixed salt on the hydrocarbon generation of mixed ester were investigated. The results show that the effects of inorganic salts on the hydrocarbon generation from mixed ester catalyzed by minerals are different. Sodium sulfate exhibit inhibition effects and the other salts promote the hydrocarbon generation. And it has the different catalytic activities with the different minerals in the presence of inorganic salts.
